Intricately created by nature over many years, these lamps have been carefully selected and crafted to produce an original feature for your home.

Terry Jarvis is an artisan, working from his workshop based in Millom (Cumbria). He runs his own business as an upholsterer and restorer of antiques, sculpting woodland and driftwood lamps as specialist interest.

Terry started working for himself over twenty-eight years ago as a wood carver. His first contract involved carving finely detailed wooden architraves around the high ceilings of historic buildings. At the same time he started making a wide range of craft gifts.

Terry has always seen the true natural potential wood possesses, using wood in his everyday work and viewing it in nature. Most of the wood used for these lamps is hundreds of years old.

The process of deciding on how best to present a given piece of wood as a lamp base (i.e. how to shape, treat and finish the wood) sometimes takes weeks. Through time and care Terry can bring each unique piece back to life, so that others can enjoy these beautifully crafted lamps. Great as a feature in the home, conservatory, even the place of work.

On this particular picture an airplant has been added to the lamp. We do not supply the plants but if you wish to add these plants to your lamps you can purchase them from any good garden centre. They tend to go well with the natural shapes of the wood.
